February 18, 2018

On Sunday the 18th February I was invited to attend the fourth NI Blogger Brunch. This event is organised by Cathy Martin, owner of CMPR Models and Belfast Fashion Week, as a way of bringing together Bloggers, Youtubers, PR and Creatives in Northern Ireland. I honestly love the idea for this event as 'Blogging' is a relatively new industry within Northern Ireland, it is great to have a platform for Bloggers to meet together and chat.

So starting off with my outfit, I decided to channel my inner Cher Horowitz and go for this Clueless inspired outfit. I couldn't resist and outfit pic on the balcony even thought it was raining, the things we do for Instagram. The fact that I got my skirt and blazer in two different shops yet they are such a good match made me pretty happy. My skirt is from Stradivarius and was £12.99 in their sale and my blazer is Pull&Bear and was £9.99 in their sale. I mean what a total bargain cause I will definitely get a lot of wear out of these separately or together. My fluffy pink jumper is from Missguided and my black sock boots are also Misssguided, but you can pretty much get similar ones everywhere. My fluffy bag was also a steal only £8 from Primark and matched so well with my jumper, I got so many compliments on it.

The location for the event was Babel in the Bullitt Hotel, it was the most gorgeous setting and there was so many great 'Instagrammable' spots. I think everybody and their granny got a picture in that hanging chair. I stupidly didn't get many pictures of the actual event. The format was that Bloggers/Pr's would get up and introduce themselves and speak about what they are about. It was a really good way to meet everyone, being the newbie that I am I didn't get up to speak this time, maybe next time.

There was a break in the middle of this were Katie from Benefit Ireland showed us some flatlay tips and then we had a challenge to create our own flatlay using Benefit products and some props provided. This was really fun and the best two flatlays won some gorgeous benefit goodies. This was my flatlay:

The event was also sponsored by Belvedere and we were greeted with an amazing cocktail to sip on whilst we listened to the speakers.

I honestly loved the Bloggers who had the courage to get up and speak about personal issues such as mental health, it was really inspiring. Maybe next time I will get up and speak.

It was so lovely having Benefit at the event and we were all gifted a little bag with 3 mini benefit samples. I especially can't wait to try the They're Real Lipstick which is a lipstick and a liner in one.

Overall I had an amazing time at the event and I can't wait for the next one.

Thanks for reading

  1. Looks like you had a fab time! I still haven't been able to make one but hopefully the next time I'll be able to join you all! Loved the outfit, the contrast of the grey and pink is stunning and what a bargain as well!
