February 03, 2018

Benefit's latest release has been hyped up in the beauty world for months now. With makeup addicts and bloggers alike awaiting the latest release. Teasers of pink spacewoman have been floating about their Instagram and a space themed countdown was on all Benefit counters. However there seemed to be an air of disappointment in the air when people realised the release was another mascara. However I was excited to try it all the same with Benefit holding the ranking for Number 1 and 2 mascara in the UK, with 'They're Real' and 'Rollerlash'. I have tried both of their bestselling mascaras and personally loved them so I couldn't wait to try this one. I picked it up on the 2nd February the day it came it and I knew I was going to review it.

This mascara promises big volume with 360 degree reach due the flexible slimline wand. It states that it will last 36 hours, is water-resistant, smudge-proof and flake free. This mascara contains aero-particles which are one of the lightest known materials and come from space technology, hence the space themed promotion and product name. It also contains ProVitamin B5 which is known to fuel thickness and strength.

So here is a comparison of one eye using Bad Gal Bang and one eye without any mascara. As you can see the mascara did give my lashes loads of length and volume. My first thoughts were that they weren't lying about the brush being flexible, it is really bendy and enables you to be able to coat all your lashes including the corners. The mascara really curled and lengthened my lashes as well as giving them a lot of volume. I was actually really impressed when I first used it. The formula is also very wet so you don't have to put much on to get a good result. It's also very black and gives a good colour to the lashes, this would be especially good if you have fairer eyelashes. The wear on the mascara is pretty good as well, I'm not sure about 36 hours cause I'm not sure why I'd go 36 hours hours without taking my makeup off. But so far I've worn this on a nightout on Friday and a busy work shift on Saturday and it has lasted me all day.

Here's another picture from the next day when I used it for going to work and I loved it again. I've been using this for 2 days now and I have to say it's going to be a firm staple in my makeup bag.

If you in the market for a good mascara you should definitely check this one out. It absolutely lived up to my expectations and I am going to be using it as my everyday mascara now. This mascara retails for £21.50 and can be bought from any Benefit concession.
