February 23, 2018

So the 19th Febraury I turned 20, so I thought I would do a post showing what I did to celebrate my birthday and the outfits I wore. I honestly had a lovely birthday and thank you to everyone who helped celebrate with me. The above banner is from New Look along with the confetti filled balloons.

On the evening of my birthday I went to House in Botanic with my family, I had been wanting to try it out for ages as I'd seen a lot of Instagrams taken there. It did not disappoint the interior was decorated so beautifully and the food was amazing. The flower roof is Belfasts answer to Elan Cafe and even my mum got a picture of it. So instagram worthy. From the outside 'House' looks like a conservatory with huge glass windows at the front, the decor inside is so pretty with velvet seats at the tables, tropical banana leaf wallpaper and rustic wooden bookshelves. My cocktails were amazing as well, and I definitely need some of these pineapple glasses for my house.

Now for the part that everyone is actually interested in what I wore, I already shared this picture on my Instagram and I loved the botanical vibe in this area of House. My top is from Topshop and can be found here, green is going to be huge this season so this is a huge wardrobe must. My trousers are Stradivarius and have a Sports Luxe Vibe with the stripe down the side and can be found here. My shoes are just some basic white sandal heels from New Look which I've had for years and my clutch bag is Michael Kors.

I also matched my makeup to my outfit, creating a green eyeshadow look using a BH Cosmetics 120 Colour Palette. My highlight is the LA Girl Strobe Lite in 120 Watt. I'm going to be doing a full post on my Top 5 Fave Highlighters to watch out for that coming. On my lips I'm wearing Mac Faux and an LA Girl Lip Paint in Whisper (Would recommend these so good and cheap and taste minty).

So I decided to make my house look really cute for my birthday with my friends, as it is a student house it tends to look like trash half the time so it was nice to have balloons and banners and pretty things. I had a rose gold theme for the party and this confetti was so cute however was a nightmare to clean up.I got little plastic cups and champagne glasses with strawberries from Tesco's, these are perfect if you know things are going to get knocked over. Also this red velvet cake from Tesco's tasted unreal and was only £2.

I opted for a more dressy outfit for 'going out out', my dress is from Quiz and is new season. I know I'm going to get loads of wear out of it coming into Spring/Summer and I loved how it looked. It's like a nude colour with lilac, peach and yellow embroidered flowers on it and it has a square neckline which is my fave and so flattering in my opinion. You can pick it up here. I also wore drop down rose gold and diamond earrings from Quiz which added some sparkle to the look and can be purchased here. I wore the same white heels from New Look to complete my outfit. Overall I think Quiz has been killing it recently with their clothes, whenever I went in to get the dress they had a lot of nice pieces in and I will definitely be going back before I go on holiday, to pick up some things.

Thanks for reading
