So today I'm going to be taking about the L'oreal Foundation Sticks, Primer and Highlighting Sticks from their brand new Shot It, Shape It, Strobe It Range. Foundation Sticks seem to be a huge growing trend in the beauty world this year and I have seen so many beauty companies releasing their own spin on them. I'm also going to be reviewing the Revolution Fast Base Foundation Stick soon, so stay tuned for that. I opted to go for 4 products from this range; The Luminising Primer, The Foundation Stick, The Contour Stick and The Highlighting Stick. These products are priced at 8.99 each, so they are quite pricey for drugstore. Boots however have 3 for 2 on all L'oreal at the minute. I'm going to go through the products one by one and tell you how I got on with them and then show the finished result on my face.

So the primer comes in 5 different finishes: Luminising, Mattifying, Anti-Redness, Anti-Fatigue and Pore Refining. I decided to go for the Luminising Primer as I thought it would be nice for Spring/Summer to have a dewy foundation look.  The primer, was quite a thin consistency and I applied it with a buffing brush. Overall the primer did give my face a dewy glow, I would have preferred if it was less pink toned as I feel like it highlighted the redness on my skin a little. But overall I really liked the primer

I'm going to be honest here I didn't like this product at all, first of all the lighter shades are all very orange, I swatched them in the shop when I didn't have fake tan on and none of them really matched my skin tone. I opted for the second lightest shade in the range and tried it out. There was also no shade that would work on me as a concealer/highlight which these products are also supposed to be used for. I really was expecting more from this, I applied stripes round my face and then blended it with a beauty blender and honestly it wasn't giving me the coverage I wanted. I am a full coverage foundation gal and this is not full coverage enough for me. I applied an extra layer to try and build it up by my skin still had a lot of redness and it was more of a natural look than I would usually go for.

This stick is part of the foundation range but also showed on the stand that it could be used as a contour shade on those with lighter skin tone, there was also a darker contour shade available as well in 240 Espresso but that seemed too dark for me. Obviously if you have a deeper skin tone these can be jus be used as foundation sticks. One thing I would say is the shades are very warm toned, there isn't really many cool toned or neutral options in the darker shades. This is why I preferred using this to bronze my forehead rather than contour my cheekbones and jawline. For bronzing up my forehead I loved this it was super creamy and easy to blend and gave a gorgeous flawless finish. For contouring my cheekbones, it was ok it gave a decent enough result however it was a little more warm toned than I would usually go for but it wasn't bad at all. If you are interested in trying out cream contouring I would say this would be a good product to start with.

I swatched all of the strobe sticks shades above in Boots so you don't have to. The shade I purchased 'Slay in Rose' is on the left, then 'Frozen' which is a pale silver with pink reflects, then
'Gold is Cold' and 'Run My Jewels' which would work on deeper skin tones. This product was my absolute favourite out of all the products from this range. I am a die hard powder highlight lover but I love this stick highlighter. It gave me such a natural glow on the face and wasn't glittery like some highlighters can be. You'll see in the next pictures how gorgeous this looks on my skin and it also had a really creamy formula.

This is my face after using the products, I'm only wearing mascara and eyebrow product apart from the products in the post so you can see the finished results. Also ignore my dodgy tan I hadn't washed off the guide colour yet. You can see the amazing glow the highlight is giving off and it looks even better in person. The contour stick was also pretty good and I will be using it again. However the foundation did not meet my expectations and was quite streaky on the face, so for me it's one to give a miss.

Thanks for reading
