3 LOOKS 1 PALETTE: LIME CRIME VENUS XL

August 05, 2018

So today I’m going to share some of the ways you can use the gorgeous Lime Crime Venus XL Palette. This palette may look like your regular pink palette but there is actually a lot of different looks you can create with it and it’s so versatile.
This is my first time using any products from Lime Crime and I have to say I love the formula of the shadows, there is a great mix of shimmer and matte shades. The matte shades are insanely pigmented and the shimmers have such a creamy texture to them. You get 18 shadows for £49.50 which I think is a pretty good deal. I picked up this palette at the Makeup Pro Store in Derry, when I was invited to their event for the opening. So if you are looking for any Lime Crime products definitely check out any of the Makeup Pro Store’s as they have a fab selection.

3 LOOKS:

EVERYDAY ORANGE

This look is really simple and would be perfect for everyday especially coming into autumn. To create it I simply buffed the shade ‘Scallop’ into my crease and then applied ‘Flora’ to the outer corner and into the crease. I applied ‘Blank Canvas’ to the centre of the lid and then added a little ‘Etheral’ on top and was good to go.

BROWN AND COPPER SMOKEY EYE

For this look I took advantage of the gorgeous browns that are in the palette and created this simple but effective smokey eye. This is the type of look I would wear for dinner or drinks and it especially compliments brown hair. I used ‘Idolized’ as my transition shade all over my crease before adding ‘Burnt Gold’ on top of it to darken up the crease. I used ‘Nu Classic’ (one of my favourite shades) on the outer corner to add dimension. And then I added ‘Love’ to the lid to give that copper shine.

PINK SPOTLIGHT EYE

This is my favourite look I created with the palette and is something I would wear on a night out or to an event. I started out with the shade ‘Passion’ and buffed it into my crease taking it quite high up. I then added ‘Triumph’ on the outer corner followed by ‘Supreme’ to create the depth on the outer corner. I used a concealer to then carve out my lid and then placed ‘Etheral’ on my lid in the inner corner and centre.
