Last Friday I had the pleasure of attending the launch of this seasons West Coast Cooler Belfast Fashion Week. I love Autumn/Winter fashion and was super excited to see all the trends on show and the show did not disappoint. I want to share, a few of the trends that I saw that will be making appearance in the shops in the weeks to come. If you want to get in on the action, Fashion Week starts on 19th October and you can get tickets from: but get them quick as it’s set to sell out.

Checks are literally my favourite fashion trend, and I even wore my own take on it to the fashion show. There were so many great checkered outfits on show and I can’t wait to wear this trend in the upcoming months. I love that the show incorporated a pop of colour in the checked looks as well for the more adventurous dressers who want to change up their look. The main thing I love about this trend is how effortlessly classy and expensive it looks. You could wear an all black outfit and add a pop of prince of wales check to it and instantly it would look more dressy.

This is a trend I’m living for too as I love a good suit, it looks so put together and smart. I wore a gorgeous checked two piece suit last season and can’t wait to bring it out again. I love the 80s shapes that are coming back in and how the checked trend is also being worn with this trend. Button detail was huge in summer and yet again the double breasted detail on these blazers makes them look smart and expensive.

This is something that I would more associate with summer but I absolutely loved how the bold colours were worked into the winter looks with statement coats and knits. I loved how the looks focused on just one colour and worked in different shades of that colour to add dimension. I especially loved the all purple look with the headpiece which would be perfect for a day at the races.

This was obviously one of my favourite trends over summer but it’s definitely not going anywhere. I’m loving the cool toned snake and reptile prints that are coming in too and will definitely be wearing them over winter. A lot of high-street shops have super affordable leopard and snake print items so this is definitely a trend that will be easy to take from the runway to your wardrobe.

I hope you enjoyed my run down of my favourite trends from this seasons WCCFW Launch, can't wait to see the rest of the fabulous looks that will be shown at the main event. Thank you to Cathy Martin for having me at the launch and supplying these pictures to use.
