May 20, 2019

Just last week I had the pleasure of attending an event at Lush to celebrate the launch of their new makeup line in the Belfast store. I was really excited to try this makeup line as it is quite different to a lot of brands out there in that - it's completely plastic and packaging free. The products come raw in cardboard recyclable boxes and have wax at the end which can also be recycled. So I'll go through each product I've tried and show the finished look on my face also.

Slapstick Foundation in 6C

The first product I tried was the Slapstick Foundation, I have to say I am more of a liquid foundation girl so I didn't really think I would like this product. But I have to say I really like it, I would say it's a medium coverage and you can build it up. It's probably more of a daytime foundation for me as I prefer a fuller coverage for night outs and it's also quite dewy. I did find the product itself really easy to apply as I just swiped it on my face and blended it with a foundation brush. It also feels very lightweight on the skin, so would be great for holiday too.

Trix Stick Concealer in

The Trix Stick is Lush's answer to concealer, and as concealer's go it's ok. However I do prefer a liquid concealer. This concealer is kind of just a smaller version of the foundation to be honest and I think it's ok for covering spots but I personally wouldn't really use it for highlighting. It's probably the only product I'm not really that keen on, but I think that's more due to personal preference than anything.

Glow Stick in Lark

This is my absolute favourite thing in the collection, I can't emphasise how much I love this! I love an intense highlight and this certainly gives you one, the shade Lark is a pinky-silver and is prefect for a lighter skin tone like mine. There is a great shade range also and this is so easy to apply you can simply apply it straight onto your cheekbones and nose. It's not glittery at all and just gives an amazing glow. Honestly get your hands on this if you haven't already.

Refillable Lipstick in Tomsk

I cannot recommend this lipstick enough, it's very moisturising and creamy on the lips and not drying at all, which I love. I chose the shade Tomsk which is a very dark brown but there is a massive shade range to suit everyone. I love the idea of the refillable case as well.

Finished Look:

I mean look at that glow.

Thank you
